NEIL LENNON has officially been announced as the Celtic boss after he was initially offered the job last Saturday after the cup finals triumph.

Celtic have released details of the Irishman’s contract and have revealed he will be on a twelve month rolling contract and it appears there will be NO Garry Parker in his coaching staff.

Celtic have historically only given managers twelve month rolling contracts but made an exception back when Brendan Rodgers won the treble in his invincible season. Rodgers was on a four year deal that would have taken his contract to ten in a row had he honoured it.

Many fans may have expected the club to hand Neil Lennon a two-year deal as a signal of intent but they have reverted back to the rolling deal – a contract which Lenny enjoyed the last time he was the gaffer.

His coaching staff will remain John Kennedy and Damien Duff with no word as of yet if anyone else will come through the door.

John Park is still available if Neil wants him to come in as chief scout for a second spell.

  1. And no expense spared for the drive to the group stages of the CL. Turnbull from Motherwell and Aribo from Charlton. Both ready for the big boys of Europe? Talk about underwhelming and uninspiring. Good job they have already flogged the season books.
