Neil Lennon has hinted he could be ready to recall his captain after suspension.

Even before his red card at Livi, Brown has been used sparingly but could see action from the start tonight against Kilmarnock.

If the Celtic manager is finding it hard to trust certain players, there’s no doubt he trusts Scott Brown.

The league is gone, however, we must show professional pride in our performances and start getting wins.

It’s hard to see who gets into the team under Neil Lennon’s scrutiny. The manager has been brutal with his players and believes a lot of them have let him down this season.

Speaking about his captain, he does say Brown is in contention to play but didn’t go as far as saying if the midfielder would start or come on as a late sub.

“We’ve got Scott Brown back after the suspension so he’ll come into our thinking for the game.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“It’s a difficult venue, they’ve had a change of manager so you expect some sort of reaction from Kilmarnock players so we have to be ready for that as well.”

Scott Brown has not started a Celtic game in the SPFL since December 6. His last start, in general, was in the cup final against Hearts on December 20.

Rugby Park has always been a problematic place for the team, even on a good day. The selection tonight takes on more importance.
