NEIL LENNON has handed Celtic fans a boost by declaring Jeremie Frimpong should be back in training at the start of next week.

The player has been injured since the Kilmarnock game when Alan Powers went right through the young defender.

Celtic have still been winning in his absence but the young Dutch international’s absence was evident during the Ross County game at home with no real penetration coming down the right-hand side.

Getting the player back for the next run of games will be a fantastic boost for the squad who also have a few more bhoys to welcome back in the near future.

Celtic are showing their strength in depth by still winning even with key players on the sidelines. Neil Lennon playing a 3-5-2 in for the majority of our games has seen James Forrest play as a wing-back almost.

It will be interesting to see what formation Neil goes with once everybody is fit. With Moi still to come back, reverting to a front three might be on the cards at some point.

  1. I pity Jerrie, as it will happen again and again, again. Think ‘Jinky and Bobby Petta’ And he will be on the physios table more often than not. He needs protecting. As all the star players football do. Good to hear he’ll be back soon.
