NEIL LENNON confirmed Celtic are on the brink of landing Jonoe Kenny from Everton on loan with just the paper work to complete. The right back is in Glasgow and will be a Celtic player by the end of the day.
“We just need the paperwork to be finished.” Lennon told SunSport. “He has been in the building, he travelled up last night so hopefully we can get that signed and sealed this afternoon.”
The manager also revealed the club have indeed missed out on Ben Daves after being ‘gazumped’ at the eleventh hour.
“It’s a blow because we were very close to doing that and obviously we got gazumped at the last minute by Liverpool.”
The Celtic manager also told Sheelagh McLaren he wouldn’t be surprised if Olivier Ntcham left the club today with the club in talks with Marseille.
Neil Lennon on Jonjoe Kenny – hoping to be done this afternoon
On Ben Davies – it’s a blow to miss out, financially more rewarding for player at Liverpool
On other signings – trying for centre half on loan
On Olivier Ntcham – interest in him, wouldn’t be surprised if he left— Sheelagh McLaren (@sheelaghmclaren) February 1, 2021
The Celtic fans feel like they’re in purgatory; we won’t win the league and we’re likely to see massive upheaval in the summer. Until then, loan signings and a manager who will likely not be here next season will keep going for now.
Should we continue to lose games, second spot becomes a massive worry for the support.
It’s incredible we continue without intervention.
Celtic take on Kilmarnock on Wednesday night with Neil Lennon looking likely to take charge.
Look things must get bad before a new manager will touch a club like Celtic how can any one do better than what we did before this season started after this season every win is us on the way up, a new manager with his own staff and six or seven new players and all dead wood moved out of club yes we will be on the way up…
