CELTIC thrashed Hibernian at Hampden on Saturday evening, putting five past the Edinburgh side who scored two goals of their own but never looked like winning.

Paul Heckinbottom has been clinging on by the skin of his teeth for some time now with Hibernian languishing in the bottom half of the table. Doing just enough in recent months to keep a hold of his job it would appear Hibs fans have seen enough if you read today’s RecordSport column.

Celtic were in no mood to do any favours for the Hibs boss on Sunday and the scoreline flattered them in the end. Heckingbottom was Neil Lennon’s direct replacement less than a year ago when the Irishman’s time at the Easter Road club came to an end in less than ideal circumstances.

Neil Lennon sometimes doesn’t get the credit for having Hibs flying in the SPFL after promotion. Heckingbottom clearly struggling to implement a vision similar to the Celtic manager’s in order to be at the top half of the table.

  1. Neil Lennon is well regarded with most Hibs supporters he could have taken us to another level he is well missed and his replacement is garbage
