NEIL LENNON hasn’t ruled out a January move for Celtic outcast Scott Allan when asked about the player’s availability at Hibernian’s AGM.

The former Celtic boss and captain was respectful but stopped short of saying he wouldn’t be in for the midfielder come the turn of the year.

“He is a Celtic player and it’s not for me to say whether we would be in for him again come January, but he is a player that thrived here in two spells.” Lennon admitted.

Allan will be entering the last 6 months of his deal in January and would be able to sign a pre-contract with another club if he so chooses.

Allan was told in the summer that he was free to move on if he could find a move elsewhere but the wage he’s on at Celtic Park has not been matched by any club interested in him thus far.

Allan was signed under Ronny Deila when it looked like the player was going to head to Ibrox. The Gers fan opted for the Scottish Champions but has found opportunities hard to come by under Deila and Rodgers.

Many have put Allan down as a ‘banter’ signing because of this which is a bit unfair.

His loan spell to Hibernian in the second half of last season was a great success and Hibs are desperate to get him back on a full time basis.
