NEIL LENNON has revealed he’s spoken to all the bhoys who are now out of the Glasgow Derby due to the virus.

Odsonne Edouard, Nir Bitton, Hatem Elhamed and Ryan Christie have been affected during the international break. Edouard’s isolation period does end just before the Derby but there’s no chance for the other three.

Ryan doesn’t have the virus but has to self isolate due to track and trace. To that end, the Celtic manager and the club have sent a treadmill to Ryan’s home so he can keep fit in the interim. There was no such update on Edouard, having the virus, even if he was exhibiting no symptoms, the club would be unlikely to tell him to train – he could have taken it upon himself though.

The Celtic boss did say all the bhoys are in good spirits.

“I’ve spoken to all of the boys, and they’re all in good spirits” The Irishman told the Celtic View [Issue12, Page 6]

“Ryan is obviously self-isolating, but we had a treadmill sent up to him and he’s been doing work-outs in the house.

“Ultimately, we want the guys to rest, get well and we’ll welcome them back into the fold with open arms when they’re ready in a couple of weeks.”

A couple of weeks seems to suggest Neil Lennon ISN’T considering Edouard for selection but he hasn’t confirmed this as of yet. His comments lean towards the Frenchman not playing but he might get a place in on the bench to play a small part in proceedings.
