NEIL LENNON spoke after his team’s 3-0 win over Dundee Utd on Wednesday and when doing so dropped major hints about the squad selection at Ibrox.

Speaking about who is available and ready to go, the Celtic manager named five players off the tip of his tongue with Ibrox in mind; Christie, Edouard, Griffiths, Turnbull and Soro.

Was he thinking out loud or was he eyeing his Starting XI for Ibrox?

Four of the players mentioned are expected to start but the big one would be Ismaila Soro. The Ivory Coast midfielder has done more than enough to start the game and should get the nod, but with Scott Brown waiting in the wings and this game being physical, Neil Lennon might opt to do what he did in the Scottish Cup Final and drop Soro.

We’re hoping the names he rhymed off all start at the weekend.

“You don’t want to lose it, you want to get a positive result, either three points or a point. We are not even contemplating losing the game, we are going there with a positive frame of mind and we have to play, and we have to play a lot better than we did here in October.” Lenny told CelticTv.

“We have Christie, Edouard, Griffiths, Turnbull, Soro, they are all available to play so hopefully that will give us a real spark going into this game. We are playing well, everybody is fit, available and there is good competition for places.

“We are creating a lot of chances which we hadn’t been doing in that (poor) spell and we have been looking a lot more assured at the back, so the players have found their rhythm. I wouldn’t say I am relaxed about it, you never are going into a game like this but we are looking forward to it.”

We await the manager’s decision. We know for a fact Vasilis Barkas will be in goals for the bhoys come kick off on Saturday.

Whoever gets the nod, they must be at their best and hope they can put a major dent in their rivals title plans.

  1. Broonie or Soro. Dammed if he does, dammed if he don’t. What if both were injured? Keep your options open. Just pick the team, including a good bench. Everything to play for. Nothin to lose. Let’s keep the 16 points in the distance, and what is is after the game. COYBIG.
