It’s back to business for Celtic in the SPFL today when they take on St Mirren in Paisley.

The Celtic players were in for an early morning training session on Christmas day to prepare for the tie and have skipped the holiday celebrations to make sure they are in top condition for the game.

Neil Lennon has almost a full squad to choose from and we were looking at the St Mirren game as a chance for the Irishman to rotate ever so slightly ahead of the Glasgow Derby on Sunday but he’s resisted the temptation and in doing so pretty much confirms this will also be the side that starts at Celtic Park against Steven Gerrard’s men.

The big talking point is playing players out of position to accommodate Olivier Ntcham and with Mikey Johnstone back fit he could have Ryan Christie and James Forrest playing in their favoured positions while Mikey takes his place on the left. Neil Lennon has stuck with keeping Forrest out on the left where he’s been less effective.

If anyone was hoping Ntcham was going to be an impact sub for the Glasgow Derby you can pretty much see Neil Lennon wants him in that side.
