FORMER Celtic manager Neil Lennon may be poised to return to football as the boss of Olympiakos.

Discussions have been ongoing for several weeks, and if Lennon is successful, he will become the head coach of Greece‘s most successful football team, which is currently third in the Greek Super League.

Lennon had previously been in charge of the Cypriot side Omonia, and during his tenure, he won the Cypriot Cup and led the team to the group stages of the Europa League, where they almost held Manchester United to a 00 draw at Old Trafford, but a 93rd-minute McTominay strike.

Jobs have opened up in Scotland, which many thought could’ve suited Lennon, but no reports have linked him to the positions, with the attraction of escaping and managing abroad clearly enticing the former Celtic manager.
