Neil Lennon has explained the change of goalkeeper which came out of the blue today against Dundee Utd.

The bhoys won 3-0 in a comfortable victory against the newly promoted side thanks to goals from Soro, Turnbull and Edouard.

The big talking point before the game was Conor Hazard being left out the side d Barkas coming back in.

Conor was the penalty hero at hampden but in open play, the goalkeeper has been unsure at times.

With the game at Ibrox on the horizon, Neil Lennon decided to bring back in his summer signing and will no doubt start Barkas against Rangers on Saturday.

Speaking as to why he made the change, Neil Lennon seems adamant the Greek goalkeeper gets the chance to prove himself.

“We brought Barkas in to be number one. He’s had a bit of a break and we have important games coming up.” Lennon told CelticTV.

“It’s time for him to show all the experience and quality he has.”

Hazard will now bide his time and wait for his chance again. He has wrote his own bit of Celtic history with his penalty heroics. Perhaps he’ll build up to be Celtic’s number one.
