NEIL LENNON dropped Odsonne Edouard to the bench which raised a few eyebrows before kick off. Many expected the Frenchman to lead the line alongside Albian Ajeti for the game against Livingston.

This left Celtic supporters speculating before the game about why the decision had been made. Some were putting it down to picking up a knock while others were thinking Neil Lennon is looking how his team might do with Eddy out the side. Given we seen that before the international break, we’d tend not to think it’s the latter.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound before the game, Neil Lennon said:

“It’ll be the same shape, Odsonne is feeling a little bit fatigued. Ajeti comes back in. We’re looking for more goals, more power.

“Ideally we want to play the two of them together, Albian is still reaching for full match fitness, and Odsonne is feeling a little bit fatigued from his France trip and the last week”

Celtic could go top of the league with a win against Livingston but it won’t be easy. The bhoys have only managed two wins out of six in the SPFL against Livi.

Winning midweek has put Celtic within touching distance of the top of the table after the postponements in August. Celtic need to keep racking up the points. Hopefully, Eddy will see some game time today.
