Neil Lennon is reportedly looking to sign Croatian centre back, Branimir Kalaica, who currently has 2 years left on his contract with Portuguese side Benfica B according to SunSport.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye of the Hoops manager and has been monitored by him. Branimir Kalaica has played for Benfica since 2016 — signing a six-year deal. He has impressed the Portuguese 2nd league with his displays over the past year.

Kalaica made 16 appearances last term for his team and sounds like he could be looked at as a back up defender for the Hoops if players got injured.

Celtic will have to put up a fight because two English teams, Watford and Leeds, are reportedly interested in the defender too. Neil Lennon will have to think fast about signing the boy.

Celtic have their two top defenders Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer who have been ever present for the Hoops during their nine in a row season.

Could Branimir Kalaica be tempted with a move to Glasgow and potentially contribute to 10-in-a-row?
