NEIL LENNON isn’t on many people’s Christmas card list right now and he’s certainly not going to get back on it with comments like this.

After watching his team lose a two goal lead in the San Siro and fall to a 4-2 defeat on the night, the Celtic manager praised his centre back pairing of Nir Bitton and Kristoffer Ajer.

“I thought that the two centre-half’s, despite conceding four goals had very good games as well” the manager told CelticTV.

Celtic have conceded another four goals in the competition, they’ve shipped seventeen in total in just five games and still have a home game against Lille. The bhoys will go into the record books as the team to rack up most goal ma conceded in the competition group stage should they concede three or more to the French side. Praising defenders is the last thing fans want to hear after this desperate run of results.

The manager is living on a different planet from the rest of us as he tries to block out the bad and look for any sort of positive.

The team have a game against St Johnstone on Sunday, if we don’t win that game we can forget about ten in a row.

  1. Dear god…not again. I weep. Give up with the repetitive drivel Neil. Nobody else is buying any of this. You are doing yourself a great disservice with the fans.
‘Played really well but lost 4 goals’. If you really believe that statement then you should not be in football management.
