NEIL LENNON is trying to bolster his squad for his first go at the Premiership with Hibernian next term. While doing so he is perhaps showing the frailties and lack of investment in Hibs scouting system as he now targets another former Celtic player who played under him at Celtic Park.

Neil is about snap up Efe Ambrose on a short term deal, he’s also held talks with Kris Commons about a permanent summer move and the Irishman was spotted with Anthony Stokes last, presumably to bring him back fro another stint in Edinburgh. It has now emerged that Neil has spoken to former Barcelona conquerer Kelvin Wilson also about moving back north.

When asked about interest from his former gaffer, Kelvin confirmed he had held talks about the move.

“I’ve spoken to Lenny, but I don’t know what’s going to happen yet. We’ll have to wait and see.” said the defender.

While these lads are all good players in the their own right, Hibernian and in particular Neil Lennon is falling into a trap we seen Ally McCoist fall into when he managed the Ibrox side. Bringing in players he’d worked with or any familiar face from Scottish football past.

Anyone’s Celtic contract that runs our will do so on June 1st, don’t be surprised to see Neil Lennon outside Celtic Park with a large net that day. We joke, and of course these players can add some very good experience but maybe look more outside the box Neil in your Premiership quest.

  1. All these players would be brilliant signings for a team like Hibs. I would say he’s taking advantage of his connections to sign a caliber of player I really wasn’t expecting. Surely top 6 finish if they sign all of them?
