As deflections go, I hope that’s what Neil Lennon was doing when asked about the goalkeeper situation in January.
The Celtic manager said the club WON’T be in the market for a goalkeeper next month even though they have yet to settle on a number one.
You could take it at face value and Neil could very well mean this. However, I’m looking at it and thinking the manager doesn’t want to knock his goalkeepers confidence considering there are some big games coming up.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon isn’t looking to sign a goalkeeper in January. He has no targets for the transfer window as yet but is looking at options. “At the minute I’m quite content”.

Had he said he was in the market for a goalkeeper it could knock the confidence of Conor Hazard as he looks to make the position his own.
There’s no way Celtic are doing their jobs right if their goalkeeper position isn’t a high priority in January.
Barkas, Bain and Hazard have all had runs in goals with nobody inspiring real confidence. Hazard has the gloves and a bit more confidence after his penalty heroics at Hampden. During the cup final game, he was lost at sea during some of the Hearts attacks. We hope that’s just lack of experience.
Fraser Forster’s name is never too far away from Celtic, will the club look at this?
