NEIL LENNON believes there plenty of fans down Ibrox way that fear him.

The interim Celtic boss will take his players to Govan for the final time on Sunday with his side visiting as Champions.

Neil believes there’s an element of their support who give him abuse because they fear him. Plenty of their fans would fear the Irishman being the one at the helm while Celtic are successful and that’s most likely what Neil is on about.

Celtic winning at Ibrox is one thing but Celtic winning at Ibrox under Neil Lennon – it turns the stomachs of many in their support.

Speaking about it to SunSport Neil said : “I’d much prefer to be playing. But do you get a kick out of it? Yeah, you do — because you know they fear you.

“That’s why you get all the abuse. If I was just a run-of-the-mill player, they would just disregard me.

“I just think there is a certain element of fear within them when it comes to me.”

Celtic have won eight titles in a row with Neil winning the first three before departing, he has now helped land number eight. The big decision in the summer is still to be made if he will be kept on but he’s taking no prisoners in the mean time.
