• Celtic have set an asking price.
  • Kieran Tierney is a bit unsettled because of rumours.
  • He doesn’t want to sell.

It’s news Celtic fans don’t want to hear but Neil Lennon has made the revelation Arsenal know exactly what it will take to land the Celtic defender this summer.

It looks like there will be no guessing game from any suitors for the defender this summer. Pay the price or move seems to be the message from the Celtic board. Many fans would have loved to see the Celtic board put a not for sale tag on Kieran for the next two seasons but that was never going to happen. You can only hope that the board aren’t selling the player short because of any preconceived notions Premier League clubs have about players in the Scottish game.

Considering Andy Robertson and Virgil van Dijk just won the Champions League with Liverpool and came within a point of the Premier League title – it’s important we get top dollar for Kieran if he goes.

Speaking about any possible deal, Neil told Sunsport the ball is in Arsenal’s court.

“Arsenal are aware of what we value the player at.

“He’s on a long-term contract, he’s an asset and we don’t want to sell him.

“There have been no more bids that I’m aware of.

“It’s going to have to take a lot more than what they’ve offered the first time around to give us a decision to make.

“I’ve had a chat with Kieran as it can be a difficult decision and bit unsettling.

“I’ve been there myself so it’s important that we support him regardless of the outcome.

“His fitness progress is slow. It will be a couple of weeks yet.”
