Celtic boss, Neil Lennon has admitted that his squad cannot afford many more slip-ups in the league or they could find the league slipping away after yet more points were dropped against Hibernian in the 2-2 draw yesterday.

As reported by the Glasgow Times, the Northern Irishman spoke about how this squad are capable of going on a run of winning games but they need to be better and cannot afford to slip up any further from now on if they want to get back to the top of the table. He made the major admission, some of his players have switched off mentally.

“No we can’t, this team is capable of going on a good run but they have to be mentally tuned in week in, week out and it was apparent today that some of them switched off mentally.

“We don’t do the dirty bits well enough and we need to get rid of that softness because teams are highly motivated against us. We have to respect that.”

There have been far moments like this already this season. Dropping points against Hibs, Aberdeen, Rangers and Kilmarnock. These are the sort of sides you need to win games against if you want to win the league and we know that from the past few seasons.

To be in this situation already and only in November is simply not good enough and something needs to change quickly, so we can get back and track.
