NEIL LENNON admitted the Green Brigade banner did disappoint him BUT it’s not going to affect him going forward. The Celtic manager admitted while things aren’t going well for Celtic right now, he’s enjoying the challenge that brings.

Celtic have been head and shoulders above the rest for a decade and we now find ourselves in a title fight. Neil Lennon believes the bhoys can turn things around and the challenge to do so is driving him and his backroom team on.

“You wouldn’t be human if it didn’t disappoint you.” Neil Lennon told CelticTV.

“But I’m strong, I am so motivated now and have the fire in the belly.

“I’m actually enjoying going through this adverse period, if you want to call it that. It makes you feel stronger.

“My backroom staff are the same, they’re good and vibrant and the players are hopefully taking on board what we’re asking of them. They know they have a lot more to come.”

Celtic are in the Czech Republic this morning ahead of their Europa League tie with Sparta Prague this evening. The bhoys were turned over by the pot 4 side on matchday 3 and will be looking to gain some measure of revenge against them.

Neil Lennon knows another heavy defeat would put him further in the spotlight; he has to make sure everyone who is going out to play this evening is 100% committed to the cause.
