Neil Lennon is back at Paradise tonight after exiting Celtic Park last season while stepping over the debris of ten glorious years of Celtic dominance on his way out.

I’ll be honest, it’s hard watching Lennon get slated every time his name crops up but the reality is he has done himself no favours ever since he quit the Parkhead hot seat with some of the comments he has made.

If Lennon had have disappeared into the wilderness for even just a season or two there could have been a road to redemption, instead, he’s made things worse with his TV punditry. That is why all eyes and ears will be on BT Sports tonight waiting for some Lenny style statement.

Anyone looking for a negative headline will be disappointed anything Lennon has said about the new boss has been positive.

Neil Lennon is sharing the Studio tonight with Paul Lambert and Darrell Curry. Asked by the presenter what he thought of the Australian Lennon said:

“I like his attacking philosophy, I think he has been unlucky not to be able to pick his strongest team so far”.

There was only a short five minute build up to the match with Lennon and Lambert but Lennon also called Kyogo a “revelation”.

He said Frimpong was a great piece of business, he was bought for 300k and sold for over 11 million but Lennon said he “went off it like they all did at the end” talking about his teams collapse last season.

Celtic are currently 2 nil down to Bayer Leverkusen and it is only half time.

  2. Like it or not, Neil Lennon is 100% spot on.
The sheep-like idiots who started baying for Lennon’s head deserve this terrible managerial choice!
Ange is in the same clueless category as John Barnes, Tony Mowbray and Ronny Deila.
He is a singular plan man!
Like Barnes and Deila he has no clue what Celtic actually represents!
    He has taken us backwards.
Lennon was the wrong man to get rid of and the sheep among you caused this mess.

    • I like your comments Joe ,Lennie was made a scapegoat in the end, Lawell must take most of the blame signing players over and above the managers head
