Celtic announced themselves as well and truly back at it as they returned from the international break to thump Livingston 4-0 at Celtic Park yesterday. Goals from Edouard, Brown & Forrest (2), made sure the Bhoys stay top of the SPFL table.

The performance was flawless and Neil Lennon only had one concern at the full-time whistle which was the loss of Johnny Hayes early in the second half. The manager later confirmed that the defender popped his shoulder.

The biggest cheer of the day came when Leigh Griffiths came on as a substitute. This time last season Celtic were only playing with one recognised striker and somehow it has happened all over again.

The Celtic squad have had one recognised striker in the last couple of months which puts the team selection on thin ice if anything was to happen to Edouard. There was talk of a new striker needed in the January window but if Leigh Griffiths can get back fully fit it could save the club millions.

With the games coming thick and fast between now and the winter break it is a must that Celtic have at least two strikers available to them. That been said, if the money is there, the management team might still want to bring in a fourth striker to completely cover themselves.
