NEIL LENNON has rightfully been named SPFL manager of the month for August after guiding his side to four victories in the league as well as getting to the quarter-final of the League Cup.
Considering the immense pressure Neil has been under from fans and the media, it is no small achievement to do what he’s done thus far.
Apart from the last 20 minutes against Cluj in the Champions League, we have seen strong leadership from the Irishman and Celtic have smashed 41 goals in so far in 13 games.
He picked up the award at Celtic Park today less than 24 hours after he signed Greg Taylor, Jeremie Frimpong and Lee O’Connor.
After the international break, it will be back to the grind with the club expected to fight on three fronts. SPFL action against Hamilton upon the players return followed up by a trip to France to take on Rennes. I’m sure the manager will be savouring the position Celtic are in at the moment.
Well done Neil!
