Neil Lennon is going to take a huge risk with his Celtic future next Sunday if he brings in his old bhoys for the cup final.

After starting some fresh, young talent in the last two games, Celtic are two for two.

Instead of relying on players who have produced in the past but not this season, the emergence of the likes of David Turnbull and Ismailia Soro is a welcome boost.

However, the Celtic manager hinted he’ll give the old guard the chance to win their fourth treble on Sunday when we take on Hearts.

That means dropping in form players and putting in some of the lads who have let him down badly this term.

While I applaud the sentimental gesture on a human level, as a football fan, I know Neil Lennon could be playing with fire.

If he drops one of his in-form stars for a few of the out of form bhoys and Celtic lose, it won’t be the old bhoys who pay for it, it’ll be the manager himself.

He must think carefully before loading the team with the his favourites.

Scott Brown will be the focus. Celtic fans love the captain but this season has taken its toll on the player and while he has a big part to play, he should no longer be the focal point.

If we lose the game under these circumstances, fans won’t forgive him.
