NEIL LENNON has provided an update for Celtic fans on both Celtic players who limped off during Celtic’s game against Sarajevo in Bosnia.

Mikey Johnston and new bhoy Boli Mbombo were substituted during the second half of Celtic’s 3-1 win against the Bosnian Champions after both sustaining injuries.

Boli went over on his ankle in the first half but continued on until it was clear he couldn’t continue. Mikey scored Celtic’s equaliser but his night was cut short in the end.

With Celtic having the return leg on Wednesday next week, Neil Lennon confirmed Boli should be fit to start against the Bosnian’s but Mikey will sit out the second leg tie to recover.

“Boli should be okay for Wednesday but Mikey Johnston will just miss out.” The Irishman confirmed to CelticTV.

The fact Mikey Johnstone is ‘just’ missing out means his injury is nothing more than a niggle which should be fine for the next round of qualifiers.

Boli being fit is great news considering he is our only left back at the moment.
