Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon and his Omonia side pulled of a stunning result in the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday night by defeating Gent 2-0 away from home.

Not many were giving the Cypriot side a chance in the lead up to the game, but when the final whistle blew, it was Neil Lennon and his team who were celebrating a famous victory.

Former Hoops hero Adam Matthews was part of the side on the night as was former Ibrox man Brandon Barker who managed to get onto the scoresheet.

Neil has been rebuilding his reputation away from the limelight in Cyprus. The Irishman revealed it was tough to find a job within the UK after the lockdown season went horribly wrong.

The Celtic legend has already won a cup with his current side and could be leading them into the Europa League if they can see the tie out next week.
