Neil Lennon seemed relaxed and pleased after his side left Romania with a vital away goal in the Bhoys 1-1 draw against CFR Cluj. Lennon spoke with Celtic TV after the game and knows the Celts have a slight advantage but unfinished business.

The Irishman knows the job is far from done and has called on fans to put pressure on the Romanians when they visit Glasgow on Tuesday evening.

“We want to win the game. Over the last couple of games at Celtic Park, we’ve been on incredible form. Next week, we’ll need the crowd, we’ll want to make it hostile and make it warm for them, and then the players need to go out and perform.”

Lennon knows if they can finish Cluj off next week the bar gets raised again and Celtic will face off against Slavia Prague in the last hurdle to qualify for the Champions League group stages. Celtic fans have noticed a new energy in the Celtic attack, something Lennon promised would happen when he implemented his own playing style instead of using Brendan Rodgers tactics.

Lennon took time to praise his main attackers on the night.

“Our reaction was superb, with Christie and Edouard playing brilliantly throughout the game. They always looked like they could score. And, of course, James Forrest is a big-game player and he’s popped up with another crucial goal for us this evening.”

Celtic did get caught on the break a few times and the Cluj goal came from a counter-attack. The Celtic manager will have to implement something next Tuesday to stop the Romanians from getting any away goals.
