Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon was in a light-hearted spirit as he reacted to Brendan Rodgers’ interview sign-off with Sky Sports reporter Luke Shanley.

Rodgers ended the interview with his usual phrase, “Good man, thank you,” to which Lennon, Eilidh Barbour, and Kris Boyd shared a laugh.

Barbour said [Sky Sports], “I’m just going to move on,” as she attempted to get back to discussing the game against Hearts.

Clearly, everyone in the studio could see the light side of the situation following controversy over Rodgers’ decision to say ‘good girl’ after an interview with BBC reporter Jane Lewis.

Rodgers spoke earlier in the week about how he and Lewis had a good laugh regarding his ‘good girl’ comment, with reactions to his sign-off post-match against Motherwell, leading to some becoming annoyed at his choice of words.

The Irishman spoke with Lewis after the win against Dundee on Wednesday.

Despite criticism from some quarters, Lewis was not offended by the comments, with the Scottish reporter looking to move on from the situation.
