NEIL LENNON came into Celtic at the end of February this year and helped keep Celtic on course to their destination of a treble treble.

In the cold dark days of the winter, Brendan Rodgers abandoned Celtic without a second thought and left us all looking around to what would happen next. There was a realisation that our trophy haul could be affected for the season with many hoping the title would remain in the bag.

Neil Lennon didn’t only make sure we won the league but he navigated through three Scottish Cup ties against Hibs, Aberdeen and Hearts to win the thing – not something that’s easy to do!

The SPFL doesn’t start back for over a month but both Celtic and The Rangers are back in training. Ibrox man Andy Halliday was asked about the Celtic manager and he gave him some very unlikely praise.

“You have to give Neil credit because he came in and got them over the line. The two targets he had since taking over, he achieved it,” he told the Evening Times.

“We just have to concentrate on ourselves and try to bridge that points gap again from last season.”

There’s a perception Neil Lennon can be got at this season but this is a man who has gotten many titles over the line for Celtic as a play and manager. Anyone who believes Celtic will drop the ball next season is in for a rude awakening.
