Celtic have held their silence since Saturday and so has Neil Lennon but the media appear to have the inside scoop with sources inside Celtic Park giving the lay of the land after more dropped points at Easter Road.

Celtic came from two goals down to salvage a point against Hibernian which could have been seen as a well earned point in the end but the game was just the tipping point for many who have watched Celtic’s form fall off a cliff this season.

Many supporters want to see the manager move on and have the board bring someone fresh in to steer the ship; however, Herald Sport are reporting Neil Lennon has no intention of walking away from Celtic and the powers that be still back their man to deliver.

Showing Tuesday’s back page, the paper is reporting the next run of fixtures will seal Lennon’s fate but will not dump him while the league is very much retrievable.

The rumours have been swirling around for the last few days and the club themselves will not come out and declare they back Neil Lennon because it would be seen as a vote of confidence which isn’t a good look.

The Scottish cup is coming up in just under a month and this might be on the mind of both Neil and the board, during his time as Celtic manager he has never managed a treble, the pandemic stopped him from doing it in May and if he were to go now, it would see the Celtic man miss out again.

The cup will mean very little to supporters if the league is already lost by the time the final comes around.
