It was an anti-climactic homecoming for Neil Lennon with Aberdeen holding the bhoys to a frustrating 0-0 draw.

Neil put out a side he thought could win all three points on the day but the team looked a bit disjointed. His substitutions were also questionable, bringing on wee Mikey Johnston for the second half when he’s not played in a while was a strange one.

From the interim Celtic managers perspective, the squad have hit a bit of a lull after the past ten days. They got two big results on the road with a sort of siege mentality after Rodgers cut and run.

Today the former manager was in the rearview mirror and the spark was lacking.

There’s no doubt Celtic’s injuries played their part with Celtic’s three most creative midfielders out injured.

Here is some bullet points of Lennon’s thoughts on the draw to CelticTV:

  • Thought the players were pedestrian at times.
  • Poor decision making in the final third.
  • Praised Boyata and Ajer.
  • Commented on Callum McGregor close to a comeback.

Celtic now have Eight days to get their act together and hopefully get some players fit before they hit the road for Dundee.
