NEIL LENNON sat down with the media ahead of Celtic’s trip to Italy this afternoon,

The bhoys are getting ready for their dead rubber Europa League match against Milan on Thursday night and the Celtic boss remains in charge after the weekend’s shock cup exit.

Asked about the backing he has got from the board in recent days, Neil Lennon revealed he’s grateful for the support.

Making the suggestion he would have been potentially out of a job after Sunday night ‘just for the sake of it’ is probably not the best way to put it.

After a horrible run of results and the performances on show before that run of results, other managers would have been given their books before now.

Neil Lennon is now playing with house money, the manager is on a game to game basis and must thrive under immense pressure or find himself on the outside looking in before long.

Celtic fans have been portrayed as self-entitled but they can see how this season is moving and the need for something drastic.
