NEIL LENNON has told Fraser Forster the club can’t wait forever and seems to suggest there’s no bargaining from the club’s side anymore.

If Fraser wants to come he will have to ‘reverse’ the decision he’s already made to stay at Southampton.

The Celtic manager sounds defeated in his attempts to sign the player on loan for another season and freely admits the club are talking to a few goalkeepers at the minute in the hope of bringing in someone.

“From what I gather, yeah. There’s no more movement on it at the minute. We can’t keep leaving the door open.” Lennon told SunSport.

“We have to make decisions. If it was to reverse tomorrow we’d go yeah, on you come, but we’re not getting any indication of that happening.

“We’re talking to representatives of a couple of goalkeepers so hopefully we’ll have good news sooner rather than later on that.

“We’re disappointed with the Fraser issue. It’s kind of bizarre the way it’s panned out.

“The impression we got was that he wanted to stay at Southampton and fight for his place, which is the player’s prerogative.

“But we had been led to believe something else.”

It all sounds like the player has gone cold very quickly returning to Celtic Park once he went back down the road in mid-June. Neil and Celtic thought Fraser was a sure thing for the ten in a row season and now we sit two and a half weeks out from the start of the season with only one senior goalkeeper.

It’s going to be interesting who the club brings in before the start of the season. It’s looking less and less likely it will be Fraser.
