NEIL LENNON told SunSport that he was offered the Celtic job today after the match in the shower of all places.

After the interim manager just watched his side do the treble treble he revealed Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond joined the bhoys in the winning Hamoden dressing room and it was in the shower area where Desmond offered Neil the job.

“Peter (Lawwell) and Mr Desmond and a few members of the board came in afterwards, in the shower area.” Lennon revealed.

“We had a five minute chat and they said they wanted to offer me the job – it’s just a privilege.”

There has been intense speculation for weeks about who will be the next Celtic manager and it must have been in Desmond’s mind if Neil was to guide the club to another treble then he would be offered the job.

At this point everything will be a formality and the club and Neil will sit down and thrash out the details with regards to wages and his budget for next season.

Neil Lennon started the ten in a row push, is he going to see it through now?
