Celtic fans might want to get excited about another young lad in their developmental side after young Lee O’Connor got his first full cap for Ireland before he’s made his professional club debut.

The new bhoy was brought up from Manchester Utd’s developmental system in the summer with many of their fans bewildered Lee was allowed to leave.

Since coming into Celtic, O’Connor has played for the developmental side and is working hard to make his way into Neil Lennon’s thought.

Jeremie Frimpong came from the blue side of Manchester and has already make the breakthrough. O’Connor will be desperate to make an impression and he’s certainly done that this evening for Ireland.

The defender even for an assist during the Republic’s win against New Zealand.

The player will likely head back to the under 21 side after this taste of first team action.
