NEIL LENNON and his team are in France for tonight’s clash with Rennes.

The opening Europa League game should be hotly contested with Rennes favourites to win the tie. Celtic will be going all out for the upset but there’s intrigue around Celtic’s starting XI and who the Celtic boss will go with on the night.

Asked if Ntcham could come back into the side from the off for the game, Neil Lennon said he was tempted to put him in for a number of reasons.

“Yes, I am tempted to bring him in, because he’s a good player.” Neil Lennon told Celtic TV.

“And I think the guys coming back to France… Jullien knows the environment very well, Odsonne has been away with the Under-21s and done fantastically well.

“I always think going back to your home country is a great incentive to show the people back home, your family, your friends, how much you have come on and how much you have developed.

“So I think there is an little bit of extra incentive and motivation for these players, there is no question of that.”

Celtic know it will be home games that really decide their Euro fate but if they could get a point in France it would be seen as a huge result.

Rennes qualified for Europe through beating PSG in the French Cup final last term and last year in the competition they were put out by eventual runners up Arsenal.

Ntcham coming in would have to see someone drop out the side with Callum McGregor being the obvious swap. The central midfielder hasn’t been at his best lately and maybe a game on the bench will jolt him back into life.
