Neil Lennon has cautioned Celtic fans not to get their hopes with regards to Odsonne Edouard playing against The Rangers on Sunday.

The Irishman has made it clear he won’t risk the French striker if he’s not 100% because the season doesn’t end on Sunday.

Lenny fearful of playing a less than fit Edouard and losing him for a bigger portion of the season.

“We still don’t know if Edouard will be OK for Sunday. We have to be careful with that one.” Neil Lennon told CelticTV.

“The season doesn’t stop on Sunday, win or lose, and we’ve got to be mindful of that.”

If the frontman doesn’t make it there’s a good chance Celtic go into a cup final without starting a recognised striker.

The team have managed seven goals in the past two games without Eddy but in a cup final you really want to have your best players on the field.

We have a sneaky suspicion Neil Lennon already knows one way or the other if Eddy is fit or not but he’s keeping his cards close to his chest.

The games kicks off 3pm on Sunday so we should know by 2pm who is starting.
