For the second time this season, Neil Lennon has refused to rule out a move for Celtic misfit Scott Allan as he looks to get a more consistent team together.

Allan joined Hibernian in January last year, cancelling his Dundee loan and taking him back to Easter Road. He was a pivotal player for the Easter Road side and he really enjoyed his football there.

Before last season ended, Allan did say he would love to be a permanent part of the Hibs setup if the clubs could make it happen.

Now the midfielder is approaching the last six months of his contract he will have some decisions to make.

Celtic told Scott he could leave in the summer if there was interestest, but nothing came of it.

With the ability to sign Allan on a pre-contract in just a few weeks, Neil Lennon would not rule that possibility out.

“Scott’s under contract. I don’t want to start headlines. He’s a player we like.” he told PLZScoccer.

“These kinds of players cost a lot of money but if there was an opportunity there we’d look at it, obviously.

“I’ll definitely look at a couple of areas which will help with the way we want to play and I’ll try and find the right type to come in and do that.”
