Neil Lennon has discussed how he feels the club will be impacted financially, after the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on the BBC Sportsound Podcast, Lennon spoke on how he believes the club’s financials could look in the short term future.

“Everything’s relative, theres going to be, possibly a knock-on effect as we go along. But again, its difficult to gauge how that landscape is going to look and we’re taking it week by week.

So I wouldn’t say we’re in a strong financial position, but we’re in a reasonable sort of strength at the minute, but the longer it goes on, the more it eats away and like I said, we’re not immune to the financial crisis.”

Hearing Lennon’s comments, there is no doubt that the club will likely suffer a big hit financially due to the pandemic.

The majority of Scottish Football will struggle even more and we should probably count ourselves lucky to be in a pretty fortunate position. Of course, that is due to our own hard work though.

Without any fans coming into the games there could still be a bit of an impact on the club. However, with a lot of season ticket holders faithfully sticking by the club and even more on the waiting list, that should bring some funds into the club.

This may be something that will effect our short term future, but fingers crossed after it has passed we can get back into an even stronger financial position eventually.
