NEIL LENNON has provided an injury update which will be music to the ears of Celtic fans everywhere.

Celtic get set to do battle against Aberdeen at Hampden on Sunday with a place in the Scottish Cup Final up for grabs and the interim Celtic boss has given fans a major boost by declaring there are no new injuries and most short term absentees are now back.

On the injury front, Lennon told CelticTV “A few injury scares have settled down this week. We should have a full complement of players to pick from.”

Celtic has been struggling with injuries all season with a plethora of players out at any one time. The likes of Rogic, Ntcham, McGregor and Christie have all come back in as of late giving the Celtic squad more depth.

The bhoys will have to improve after their 0-0 to Livingston last Saturday if they are to make the cup final.

Asked if his future depends on the match and if that was at the forefront of his thinking, Neil Lennon was quick to shoo that notion down.

“I’m here for the players and it’s important that I try to get them over the line. All I can do is focus on the game on Sunday.”

Celtic has already beaten Aberdeen at Hampden this season but it was only a slender 1-0 win in the League Cup final. It will be up to the squad and manager to make sure there are no slip-ups.
