JONNY HAYES came into his own at left-back against Motherwell. The irishman will yell you himself it’s been a massive adjustment for him considering he’s used to playing up the other end of the pitch.
Johnny’s energy and drive have never been questioned but the mature performance he put in for Celtic today at left back won him man of the match and rightly so. He has to do the dirty part of the game but he can also have licence to venture forward when he can. The former Aberdeen player did exactly that and made the second goal happen for the bhoys to put the game out of motherwell’s reach.
Using his pace and energy to track back and deal with the threat Motherwell posed at times was also fantastic on the day.
A lot of Celtic fans were very complimentary of the new found defender’s performance and took to social media to praise the Celtic star.
