This is a follow up to our story a few weeks back about New Balance and the quality of some of their Celtic tops.

Since our article we have been contacted by many Celtic fans who had quality issues with their new Home and Away tops. Like we said in the last article New Balance were offering refunds if you sent your top back via post however they would not replace them. We are aware that Celtic have stepped in on more than one occasion now to provide these supporters with a replacement rather than a refund.

We also spoke briefly about the 40% Off code that went wrong for New Balance. For those of you who ordered a Celtic top with the 40% off code and then had it cancelled by NB after payment had been taken will NOT have an opportunity to use their NEW courtesy 40% off code for a Celtic jersey. New Balance customer services have confirmed to us that neither of the tops will go back on-sale on their web store. They will now only be selling them in their local stores. Leaving fans who used the discount in good faith with no way of getting their shirt at a discount price.

A very strange move for a company who make the shirts. Furthermore you can still purchase any Celtic top you like from their webstore if you live in the USA.

We would also like to point out that New Balance laughably sent out an email to fans who had their orders cancelled asking to rate their purchase that they never got.

Our own experience with our new shirt sponsor has been less than impressive to say the very least. We would however like to point out that we have had positive feedback from some fans who haven’t had problems with either orders or the shirt itself. They seem to be the lucky ones.
