JOHN KENNEDY has given a brief injury update on Celtic’s new defender Marvin Compper.

The German defender suffered an injury setback not long after his move from Leipzig which has stopped the 32-year-old making his debut.

Kennedy believes Celtic’s injury crises is starting to ease off a little and that Compper, among others, are on their way back.

We have one or two others, including Compper, who is back in training and we hope to see one or two other faces coming back in.” the Celtic Coach told the View.

While Compper is back on the training ground, he might still be a few weeks away from starring in the hoops as Kennedy admitted he’s not been able to get many minutes on the training pitch as of yet.

“But these are guys who haven’t had a lot of minutes on the training pitch, so we have to make sure they get their fitness up in terms of training before we look at the games.”

Celtic have some massive games coming up, with Partick Thistle next on the fixture list with the game having serious implications with regards to back to back trebles.
