Celtic fans, the wait is over. The new 2024/25 home kit, designed by Adidas, has arrived and promises to be a hit both on and off the pitch. With the official release just days away, we’ve had the chance to give it a thorough look-over and provide you with the lowdown on what to expect.

The new shirt features Adidas’ advanced AEROREADY technology, ensuring that you stay comfortable whether you’re playing, cheering from the stands, or representing your love for Celtic around town.

Visually, this season’s shirt is a marked improvement over last year’s somewhat psychedelic design. The 2023/24 Hoops shirt drew mixed reactions with its bold, chaotic pattern, which some fans felt was a step too far from the traditional look. This year, Adidas has reined it in, delivering a classic design that honours the club’s heritage while incorporating modern elements.

If you pre-ordered the jersey it will come in a special box with a graphic of Celtic Park in the interior.

The matching shorts feature sleek side detailing that creates a seamless transition from shirt to shorts, giving the whole kit a cohesive and polished look. To complete the ensemble, the white and green Adidas x Celtic branded socks are a must-have, rounding off what is a stylish and unified kit.

However, it’s important to note that the sizing of this year’s shirt is on the snug side. If you found last season’s Lisbon shirt with the white logo to be a comfortable fit, you might want to consider sizing up for this new release. The new shirts run a bit smaller, so opting for a size up will likely provide a more comfortable fit, particularly if you prefer a looser feel.

Pricing for the shirts is £70 for adults, £55 for juniors, an infant kit is £50 while a baby kit without socks is £40. Pricing that isn’t outwith other clubs up and down the UK. It’s a big outlay for many families.

All in all, this kit is a solid effort from Adidas, and it might well be their final home shirt design for Celtic, with their current deal set to expire next summer. The 2024/25 home kit blends modern elements with a classic design, ensuring that you can show your support in style and comfort. The shirt is officially out on Tuesday.
