It’s not the usual entry for a new signing to grace the famous Celtic jersey but Andrew Gutman’s signing comes with some yellow tape. Reports are that the yellow tape comes in the shape of paperwork and a work permit to finalise the transfer.
Celtic have already brought one US star into first-team action with Timothy Weah. The young loanee from PSG marked his debut with a wonderful goal in last nights 3-0 win to Airdrie. Meanwhile, his fellow countryman was pulling on the Hoops in a friendly game against Arbroath. He was listed on the team sheet as a trialist.

Gutman was in Scotland only six months ago, he had a trial with Celtic’s city rivals but returned to the States. With Kieran Tierney looking like a real injury concern Celtic will be looking to get cover for the left back position as soon as possible. Celtic lost the friendly 4-3 as another new signing to the Celtic coaching staff, Damian Duff took charge of the game.
