Celtic new Bhoy Luca Connell has taken part in a quickfire round of questions with the Celtic View. The midfielders youth probably goes against him for some of the questions but when asked the player he’d like to play alongside the most from previous generations the new signing went for Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I’m not sure about past generations but the one that jumps to mind from this generation is Cristiano Ronaldo. I’ve spoken to John O’Shea while I was away with Ireland and he told me what he’s like to play with. He said he was unbelievable, but sometimes it got too much with him trying to do something over the top every time.”

He’s obviously never heard of Henrik Larsson.

Luca says he can’t wait to get started at Paradise, he described the chance to play at Celtic Park as unbelievable. When his chance does come along he needs to be able to step up. So far the player has only enjoyed some friendly game time. The time for friendlies is now over as Celtic look to secure Champions League qualification.

Connell will have a battle on his hands with so many young fringe players all looking to break into the first team at Celtic.

The player might get a chance in some of the early rounds of cup competitions. Celtic kick off the defence of their league title on the 3rd of August at home to St Johnstone to a sold-out Paradise.
