CELTIC announced the deadline day signings of two American footballers after both were successful in trials with the club
Manny Perez and Andrew Gutman joined the club before heading straight back to America to continue their development with clubs Celtic have picked.
Gutman is a left back while Perez plays at right back. They will both continue to play in America until Celtic call upon them. There is nothing saying at this point if they will join the developmental side in the summer as of yet.
Perez and Gutman both took to social media after news broke of their deals with Celtic, expressing their delight and excitement of what lies ahead.
It is a huge honour to sign with @CelticFC , I love the energy that the club brings and it has the best fans in the world. I will be on loan with @NorthCarolinaFC and look forward to developing and bringing success to both clubs. pic.twitter.com/eqOSiitCiD

Gutman, who had a trial with a certain Ibrox side made sure to mention he had signed for the ‘best club in the world’ as he celebrated the announcement – a cheeky jibe perhaps.
Excited to be apart of the best club in the world! ?? https://t.co/w4SVwV40dt

Celtic have sent three new signings out on-loan during the January window with Maryan Shved heading back to Ukraine until the summer.
