Celtic new bhoy Cameron Carter-Vickers had options on deadline day according to reports.

The defender beat the deadline to sign for Celtic with minutes to spare and came in from Spurs on a season long loan.

Celtic have been in the hunt for Cameron for quite a while and tried earlier in the window to sign the defender from Spurs.

It was the London club who approached Celtic with the deadline ticking down. The Hoops contacted Spurs in early afternoon on deadline day only to be rebuffed again.

When it was clear Tottenham weren’t going to get a permanent deal in place for the 23-year-old, their stance on a loan move significantly softened.

So much so, Football insider reports Spurs Chief Daniel Levy also accepted a loan bid from Torino for Cameron. The player has the choice and turned down a major move to Serie A to play with Celtic.

It’s great to have players who want to be here and want to be successful. If the defender does well this season – Celtic have an option to buy.
