CELTIC look to continue their pattern of signing up young players on new long-term deals before sending them out on-loan to get much needed first team experience.

The latest player set to do this is Jack Aitchison who is now in the last year of his deal.

Celtic are looking to sign the 18-year-old up on a new three-year deal and then send the striker out to Dumbarton on loan for 5 months with his loan to be reviewed in January.

Aitchison has been lighting it up for the developmental side but he’s now at the point where he needs meaningful first team experience.

The player is Celtic’s youngest ever goalscorer when he came on during Celtic’s final league game of the invincible season and bagged a goal.

At the age of 18, the striker has a big upside and could challenge for a first team place in the future under the right circumstances.
