CELTIC’S deal for David Turnbull looks highly unlikely now after the player’s agent shot down terms with the Scottish champions on Friday afternoon.

Record Sport claim the contract offered to the 19-year-old was more than what Victor Wanyama or Virgil van Dijk were on with their first Celtic contract with the paper claiming a contract of over £10kpw was on the table.

The length of the contract was reported to be a four-year deal but David’s representative knocked it back leaving Celtic chiefs fuming.

The club feels it’s a very generous offer and expected the player to be over the moon with the deal but it is unfortunate it has come to the current situation.

There’s still a chance David signs for Celtic but with his agent trying to manoeuver a more lucrative move down south this season then as Celtic’s statement tonight made clear – the club will move on.

  1. I read on another post he wanted £20.000 a week only time will tell if he is worth that but for now i think not even £10.000 is over the top for him at this stage,Celtic have 12 to 13 midfielders is he better than what we have?.just walk away from this deal let some other club pay £20.000 a week for a work in progress, you will get better players for £3 million shopping around Europe….

  2. Move on 20000 per week he’s no even worth 20000 a month what a cheeky wee shit he plays for Motherwell not some lower PL team or championship fuck him let him move tae where he thinks the grass is greener on the other side hail hail
